How many times a week do I workout and at what time?
I workout 6 times a week usually right after breakfast and sometimes before breakfast😋
What do you eat on cheat days ?
I love keeping my "cheat" meals as clean as possible just because honestly my body really doesn't react well to fattening processed foods anymore so in the past when I've tried having a cheat meal like a burger or something not made at home I would get really sick and that's no fun so now I just stick to healthy homemade "cheats"! I'll usually make a homemade healthy pizza or protein cake! I also love having "Halo Top" or "Artic Zone" Ice cream (found at whole foods). Another good cheat is protein waffles or pancakes with fruits and syrup😍YUM! (The recipes for my protein pancakes, waffles & pizza are all on my meal guide!)
Do you ever have slip ups throughout the week?
When I first started yes I did... A LOT ! Now not so much, mainly because my body craves healthy foods so I don't really crave anything processed or greasy! It did take me a while to get to this point though! At the end of the day we're all human, if you slip up don't be so hard on yourself; learn from your mistakes, set new goals & make that a reason to work 10 times harder the next time!
Do you drink alcohol ?
NO. First off I'm 17 so I'm not allowed to drink alcohol but sadly we all know that almost 99.9% of teenagers have tried alcohol at least once in their lives! Reasons why I don't drink alcohol : - slows metabolism - Increases appetite "drunchies" : over eating and eating junky foods while intoxicated - hangovers : how do you plan on getting up and working out if your still drained from last night ? - Can damage the stomach, kidneys, & liver
What was my weight difference before and after starting my account ?
I started this journey weighing 155 lbs and I am now 118-120 lbs.
Do you count calories ?
Nope ! I used to count my calories on "MyfitnessPal" but it got really unhealthy. It was no longer fun and it was very stressful to constantly be counting my calories! All that would go through my head was calorie counting and food. I became very anti-social and it almost took over my life! I then realized that being that stressed out wasn't what this life style is about ! It's about being HAPPY & HEALTHY! Besides, it's not about calories! Now I focus more on carbs, fats, sugars, and protein! I don't count the macros for every meal I eat, I just make sure all my meals are balanced and leave me full of energy!
How did you get your parents on track with you ?
A lot of you are teenagers and live with your parents! Trust me, I know that can be hard if your trying to be healthy and you have your parents constantly cooking you plates of delicious Cuban, Colombian, Chinese, Mexican, etc.. Meals ! What I would recommend for you all to do is talk to your parents about wanting to start a new healthy life and see if they will change their way of eating with you! My parents hopped on board with me and have lost plenty of weight! It's also really fun because we all push each other to workout, cook together & are always happy to talk about reaching new goals together💗 However, I know most of your parents don't want to change their way of eating which makes it 10 times harder for you to achieve your goals! I recommend you ask them to please buy certain things just for you and say that you'll cook all your foods, parents usually agree to that one😝 This will also help you learn how to cook great healthy meals for yourself, show your parents that your serious & disciplined about changing your life style, & this in turn will make it easier for them to support you and they may eventually be motivated to jump on this journey with you!
