A lot of people try achieving their "goal" body by looking at famous fitness models and thinking they're going to look exactly like them if they work super hard and eat clean. Many of you forget that we all have different body types and thats okay, learn to love your body! Some girls are more curvy than others, some are more muscular than others, and some of us gain more weight in certain areas of our bodies - that's all okay! So when trying to finding someone you'd like to look up to for motivation, make sure it's someone with your same body type. This will help you set realistic expectations and will avoid feeling discouraged💗
Mentally prepare yourself
If you are really trying to change your way of living you can't treat this like a diet. It needs to become your lifestyle! The way I mentally prepared myself was by emptying out all the junky processed foods in my pantry and fridge and filling it with organic healthy whole foods! I did this so I wouldn't even be tempted to grab anything unhealthy and so I would get used to craving healthy foods! Another thing I did to mentally prepare myself was setting an alarm on my phone with my favorite motivational quote, "Every journey begins with a single step. But you'll never finish if you don't start." That would really help me get up and go to the gym everyday at whatever time worked best for me.
Be you're own motivation
The fact that you aren't where you want to be should be motivation enough! Get up, set goals for yourself, and achieve them! Will it be easy ? No! If it was easy EVERYONE would do it! Don't think about how long this process is going to take. Think about getting it done today! If you wake up with that mentality everyday, 4 weeks will fly by and one morning you'll wake up and realize that your body is changing and that will be another motivation to keep you focused on your goals! Be unique, be strong, and fight to get to where you want to be! I can assure you you'll feel so full of energy and so happy living this healthy life style as long as your doing it for YOURSELF! Don't do it for the cute guy in your class or because people keep saying your overweight. Do it to feel good about yourself, for yourself.
